The Story of Drop Inn USA began nearly 3 decades ago in Richhill, Northern Ireland, where Ronnie and Carolyn Dawson opened their first thrift shop as a place to resell items donated as a response to the Chernobyl disaster that could not be shipped. The funds from these items was in turn used to continue to assist those in desperate need of aid in Ukraine and other affected areas.
A little bit about us
From there, Drop Inn ministries continued to grow in response to the needs they were presented with from around the world, all funded by the profits made in the shops, which multiplied as people willingly gave items to be resold.
Today, there are nearly 30 thrift shops and 3 coffee shops in the UK, and 1 shop in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, with more to come in the US. Drop Inn has been and continues to be a beacon of hope, offering financial aid and resources to pastors and community leaders in over 20 countries as they support and enhance their local communities.
